Archives

• LSE Archives contains a number of archives as detailed in the Guide to Holdings: Government and Politics that will be of interest to researchers
• LSE Archives is also home to the Library's older pamphlet collections. A number of thematic guides are available for pamphlets that relate to Government and Politics.
• LSE Archives pages also contain a number of resources for researchers using and locating archival collections.

Government material

Governmental publications contain a range of historic information.  Since its foundation, the Library has collected material published by governments on a global basis. This information comes in a variety of forms such as reports of working parties, departmental publications and parliamentary papers.

The Library is strongest in publications published by the British government| and the Untied States Federal government|. These pages contain information about how to find material in these collections. 

Intergovernmental Organisations (IGO)

• The Library holds specialist status as a European Documentation Centre and as a United Nations depository.
• For documents relating to the above collections you may need to use specialist databases such as Europa and AccessUN.  Further finding aids are available via the above pages.
• There is a large collection of materials published by IGO's held in the Library.  Further information is available on the Intergovernmental Organisations page.

Microfilm and microfiche

The Library has a large microfilm and microfiche collection. Further information on the collection can be found on the microfilm and microfiche collections in the Library| page.

Statistics

Part of the Library's Government holdings is a large quantity of statistical data relating to a number of topics. More detail can be found on the Statistics Collection| pages.
