This is a short guide to printed and electronic resources for management . It includes an explanation of how to use the Library catalogue to find books and journals in print and electronic format. It also has selective list of some of the most useful electronic databases for this subject area .
The Department of Management consists of four groups – Employment Relations and Organizational Behaviour Group, Information Systems and Innovations Group, Management Sciences Group and the Managerial Economics and Strategy Group. Students and researchers in all of these groups will be using many of the same print and electronic resources, but in addition some resources will be of specific relevance for employment relations, management sciences and information systems.
The Library's collection of material on management covers managerial economics, marketing, business studies, trade and entrepreneurship. Resources for management are of importance for students and researchers in economics, information systems, employment relations and management science. Employment relations includes human resource management, labour markets, industrial relations, labour economics and industrial psychology. Information systems is taught in a social science context at LSE and the Library's collection reflects this. The Library does not collect in the technical aspects of computing.
Management students may also find some of the other subject guides to be useful for their area of study and research, such as economics, mathematics and statistics, government, social policy and geography.
