Our collection of Western European government publications covers the following countries. Please note that the country or area is designated by a number and you will need this number (and the numbers that follow it in brackets) in order to locate items on the shelves, or to have them fetched -

Print Sources
Statistical or census material produced by national statistical offices is classified first by the country number, as above, followed by an alphanumeric code in brackets representing the broad subject area as listed below:
Location
Statistical material is located on open access in the Statistics Collection on the first floor and the Historical Statistics Collection on the lower ground floor (for reference use only).
GOVT PUBS material
On the Catalogue|, documents published either solely or partially by Western European governments or their printing offices bear either the location GOVT PUBS or UK GOVT for recent UK material. Their classmark will be composed of their country number, as above, followed by a running number. They may normally be borrowed by all users of the library who have borrowing rights.
