User Requirements Study
and Repository Use (WP2)
| Objective: |
To
carry out and report on a user requirements analysis into
researchers' attitudes and expectations of digital
repositories; to survey users on their current use of
institutional and subject repositories; to further survey
users on their current practices regarding retention of author
versions of their work |
| Deliverables: |
Report
on user attitudes towards deposit and accessibility of
different versions and on current use of repositories; report
on current practice on retention of author versions; online
questionnaire - available for re-use by BOS subscribers |

Publications List
Analysis (WP3)
| Objective: |
To
discover the extent of current availability of usable legal
versions for open access repositories by analysing
publications lists already available for more than 50 European
economists participating in the Economists Online subject
repository project |

Report
highlighting how the issue of versions in digital repositories
in different European countries has an impact on the relative
success of populating repositories with content |

Guidelines
and Standards (WP4)
| Objective: |
To
develop best practices guidelines on description of versions
and liaise with other stakeholders to produce standards |

Toolkit
and web page for wide dissemination to authors, researchers,
publishers, librarians and other stakeholders; standard
document proposed and disseminated to stakeholders |

Dissemination
and Evaluation (WP5)
| Objective: |
To
disseminate throughout the JISC community and beyond the
findings of the user study and standards documents developed;
to evaluate the project and its tangible outputs |
| Deliverables: |
Project
website; contributions to mailing lists; articles; papers at
workshops and conferences; feedback from researchers and
stakeholders on value of project outputs |
