Biography
Carolyn (Carrie) Paris was a corporate finance partner at law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York City (1989-1998) and is the author of Drafting for Corporate Finance (Practising Law Institute, New York City, 2007). In addition to practicing law, she has worked in risk management, knowledge management and systems development for the legal sector. She has a BA (University of Illinois), MA (University of Texas), JD (Stanford University), MBA (Columbia Business School), a Second Major in Computer Science (Columbia University) and an MSc(ISOR) (Information Systems and Innovation Group, Department of Management, London School of Economics).

Subject areas: Software and organizations, technology and markets, technology histories, technology and risk, feminist perspectives on technology
A study of contract management software, a type of packaged enterprise software, using the biography of software approach (Pollock and Williams 2009), through the lens of commoditization from Material Culture Studies.
