Hsiao-Hui Tai

PhD student in Employment Relations & Organisational Behaviour

Biography

Hsiao-Hui Tai is a PhD candidate at the Employment Relations and Organisational Behaviour Group at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She holds a MA in Labour Studies and a BA in Labour Relations from the National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan, where she has also worked as a research and teaching assistant prior to her doctoral study.

Research Interests

Subject areas: Taiwanese industrial relations, worker representation, labour process, labour identity. .

Hsiao-Hui developed her PhD project from her MA research of which she examined the workplace relationships between trade union, management and employees. Her current research focuses on the transition of labour identity within the worker representation in Taiwan. She analyses the relationship between Taiwanese worker identity and representation system. Her research interests include Taiwanese industrial relations, trade unionism, labour process, worker representation and labour identity. She aims to contribute to the empirical research on Taiwanese industrial relations.
