On the 6th and 7th September 2010, the Maths, Stats & OR Network hosted its fifth annual learning and teaching conference at the University of Birmingham, organised in conjunction with related Centres of Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Meena Kotecha, a class teacher in the Department of Mathematics at LSE, attended the event and also made a presentation on effective teaching practice to improve students’ engagement, which she has developed as a reflective higher education practitioner.
Meena said, "I found the conference useful from the viewpoint of my own professional development and felt privileged to represent LSE at this event. Furthermore, being able to contribute to it made it a personally rewarding experience. My presentation generated interesting questions, lively discussion and positive feedback."
