Lionel Robbins Memorial Lectures

Date: Wednesday 10 June 2009
Time: 6.30-8pm
Venue: Old Theatre, Old Building
Speaker: Professor Paul Krugman
Chair: Professor Danny Quah

The global economic crisis has shaken a lot of what we thought we knew about economics. Over three consecutive evenings, Professor Krugman will cover the causes of the crisis; the deeply vexed question of how and when the world economy can recover; and the implications of the whole mess for economics and economists.

Paul Krugman is centenary professor at LSE and professor of economics and international affairs at Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University. In 2008 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences.

The previous lectures in the Lionel Robbins Memorial Lectures series, entitled The Return of Depression Economics Part 1: The sum of all fears| and The Return of Depression Economics Part 2: The eschatology of lost decades|, will be delivered by Professor Paul Krugman on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 June 2009. Please note you will need to request a separate ticket for each event in this series.
