South East Europe has entered a period of sustained economic growth and investment opportunities with significant attention focused on the energy sector. A number of challenges need to be addressed to resolve growing energy supply-demand imbalances. These include developing a regional energy market, the need for new gas transit routes to Europe, tackling high energy intensity and attracting more renewable generation.
Professor Plutarchos Sakellaris is vice president of the European Investment Bank (EIB).
Dr Spyros Economides is senior lecturer in International Relations and European Politics and deputy director of the Hellenic Observatory, LSE.
This event is free and open to all with no ticket required. Entry is on a first come, first served basis.
