LSE SU Law Society Q&A evening

Date: Thursday 24 February 2011
Time: 6pm
Venue:  New Theatre, East Building
Speaker: Baroness Hale
Chair: Dina Fahmy

The LSE Law Society is hosting a Q&A evening with Baroness Hale, the most senior female judge in the history of the UK. She will be answering all questions you may have, perhaps relating to her career, the law, cases she's judged, or the new Supreme Court and its progress.

Baroness Hale of Richmond is the only woman ever appointed to position of Lord of Appeal in Ordinary in the House of Lords. She worked part time as a barrister, and spent eighteen years in academia, before becoming a Professor of Law at Manchester. She was the first woman and youngest person ever to be appointed to the Law Commission, and was later made a Queen's Counsel. She now sits on the Supreme Court as the only female judge.

This event is free and open to all with no ticket required. Entry is on a first come, first served basis. For any queries phone and email on d.fahmy@lse.ac.uk|  or 07920 463215.
