Professor Garicano has worked on the interaction between the internal organization and governance of firms and their economic performance as given by productivity, inequality, growth, non-performing loans etc. Recently he has also been producing applied policy work on the Euro crisis, on the reform fo the European Financial system, and on the crisis in Spain (the Spanish financial system, and their structural reforms).
