I am interested in how to improve the development prospects of developing countries in today's globalized world; and especially in the international system of rules, regimes, and organizations which bear upon their development prospects. Hence interested in economic growth, income distribution, and poverty. The working of international capital markets and their propensity to crisis. International environmental politics. The possibilities of national industrial and technology policies. East Asian development, looked at through the lens of the theory developed in Governing the Market. The ideas and inner workings of the World Bank, the IMF and the WTO. The autonomy and accountability of international organizations in general.
