My research is eclectic as my professional life has included time in academia, market research and industry, which has given me an opportunity to study a number of psychological states and patterns. These have included suicide; consumer behaviour (especially on eating) and social representations theory (see my book Penser Manger at Presses Universitaires de France); newborn mimics and sustainable consumption. For a recent sample of my work, go to my paper on privacy.
My current research focuses on: the distribution of determinants of human behavior between the physical space, mental space and social space; the transfer of knowledge in organisations with information and communication technology; innovation processes, especially involving participative design; and digital ethnography. I have also recently developed new investigation techniques using statistical text mining, video and participative design. I am especially excited about the 'subcam', a wearable miniature video-camera included in glasses that provides a detailed first-person recording of the subject's activity, which I claim brings groundbreaking results in the understanding of human behaviour.
