Dr Venters' general research interests lie in the development and use of IT technologies to support collaborative working. He is interested in knowledge management and how IT systems are developed and employed to support collaborative working and communities of practice in international and inter-organisational domains. He has undertaken research in financial services standards, the UK construction industry and global NGOs. He is currently researching the development and use of Grid computing technology among experimental particle physicists for the LHC experiments at CERN.
