Caroline Howarth is the editor of this journal. The contents represents a home for original papers related to the development of Social Representations Theory and its applications. Social Representations Theory was first proposed by Professor Serge Moscovici in 1961 and since has become a major theoretical perspective within Social Psychology. It develops a theory of social cognition, culture and communication that connects knowledge practices, identity processes, psychological processes, ideology and social change. This journal was first put online 1999 with the financial support of European Commission - D.G. XXII – CDA "European Doctorate on Social Representations and Communication" and Johannes Kepler Universität Linz.
