Research

The members of the Risk and Stochastics Group are recognised researchers with a strong involvement in the international scientific community. Their research interests are in actuarial science and mathematical finance and their interface, reflecting the ongoing merger of insurance and finance into a complete concept of risk management. The research addresses a great variety of problems, the unifying element being the stochastic approach to their solution.

Highlights of current research are set out by key words on our Who's who| page, from which you can access individual home pages detailing current projects, publications and research papers.

To these we should add the key word 'stochastics': while the goals are the applications, the means are the theories and studies of the theoretical foundations, both being an integral part of the group's work.
