Contact Graduate Admissions

How to find out the answers to your questions and/or get in touch with us, and where to send your documents

If you have not yet submitted your application, and have a question about a programme at LSE, you should contact Student Recruitment and Study Abroad.

If you have submitted an application, or hold an offer of a place at the school, you can contact us using the information in the accordions below.

To speak directly to a member of the admissions team, you can use Zoom or Livechat (for offer holders only), or to submit a written query, you can use the knowledge base, or the forms on the Graduate Applicant Portal.

Finding answers to your questions and emailing us

The website and knowledge base are the quickest way to receive answers to any questions you may have. Please explore the site before contacting us. If your question cannot be answered by reference to the online resources, you can submit an email enquiry using the Knowledge Base - at the bottom of any Knowledge Base article, you can select whether the article has helped you. If it has not helped you, click No, and you will be offered some further assistance. You may be offered further answers within the Knowledge Base, but if your query is still unanswered, click "I still need help". You will then be able to submit an email query (using an online form) or access other services, such as Live chat, where appropriate.

We have a telephone triage service, which can direct you to answers on the website and across other resources. The telephone triage operators can provide general guidance, and direct you to other teams across the school where appropriate. If you require specific advice relating to your application, you will need to send us a query via the Knowledgebase, use the specific option in the GAP, or use our Zoom or Livechat services. You can access the triage service during our core hours of 10:00am to 4:00pm on +44 (0) 2079557160.

We answer all queries in the order they are received. Please check our current processing times and do not repeat your query. We will respond as quickly as we can. We do not have a direct email address.

If you wish to make changes to your application (including contact details) or to inform us of a decision (such as wishing to defer your offer), then you should use the forms on the Graduate Applicant Portal.

Please ensure that our domain name - lse.ac.uk - is added to your safe senders list. Many of our email responses are database driven and may end up being mis-directed into your junk mail folder.

If you have a Gmail account, please follow these instructions:

  1. Open your Gmail account in a web browser
  2. On the top-right of the page, click on the cog symbol to open the 'Quick settings' menu
  3. Select 'See all settings'

Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base is a regularly updated resource covering all aspects of the admissions process.

We answer common, and less common, queries, regarding applying to LSE, meeting conditions, supplying your documents, and much much more.

The Knowledge base is searchable, and will suggest answers related to your search terms, or you can navigate it by clicking through the links at the top of each section.

If you cannot find your answer on the knowledge base, you will also be given options to get in touch with the relevant team at LSE - but the vast majority of queries do have an answer within the knowledge base.

What to do when we are closed

When the Admissions Office is closed you can view our FAQ's in the knowledge base or submit a query, and use the forms within the Graduate Applicant Portal. We will deal with your queries in the order they are received once we are back in the office.
