Alba is the Head of the European City Leadership Programme at LSE Cities, a new ground-breaking capacity-building initiative for urban leaders to foster government innovation in European cities.
A passionate Europhile, she is a non-profit leader with 22 years of executive experience in global, award-winning think tanks - including the last 6 years as the Deputy Director of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) and as Head of Advocacy at the International Crisis Group in Brussels. Alba has a strong track record in building start-ups, scaling organisations for impact and spearheading change management. Alba also brings a wealth of experience as a Trustee of severable charitable Boards. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Breaking Barriers - a specialist employment charity supporting refugees find meaningful employment and build a new life in the UK - and as Trustee at Accountability Lab, Women in International Security (WIIS) Italy, and the PM Sports Foundation in Ghana.
