Olivia Theocharides-Feldman was a researcher at LSE Cities until September 2023. Through her work on the ‘Young Researcher-in-Residence’ and the ‘Making Space for Girls’ research projects, she focused on working with young people, notably young women, to understand more about how experiences of public space are impacted by age and gender. Her work also focused on developing creative engagement methodologies in peer research. 

Olivia contributed to multiple reports on the topic; was a speaker on the topic at the ‘She is Summit’ Brent, and her work with young people was also shortlisted for a planning award. 

Olivia holds a BSc in Anthropology from University College London and an MSc in City Design and Social Sciences from the London School of Economics. With her background in anthropology and sociology she has focused on gender, queer studies, critical disability studies, migration, space and cities. She is particularly passionate about understanding how cities and spaces shape daily experiences of inequality and how inequalities shape cities.
