Professor Nicos Mouzelis was among the LSE academics who launched a campaign to establish a Chair on Contemporary Greece, that led to the establishment of the Observatory.

Prof Elias Mossialos was also one of the LSE academics who launched a campaign to establish the Chair that led to the establishment of the Observatory.
3. TsoukalisLoukas 747x420

Professor Loukas Tsoukalis was the first holder of the Eleftherios Venizelos Chair in Contemporary Greek Studies (1998- 2001).

Cowdray House hosted the Observatory's offices from its establishment until 2019.

Professor Kevin Featherstone was bestowed ‘Commander, Order of the Phoenix of the Hellenic Republic’ on 17 September 2013.

11. 2015 Symposium

A great team win! Among 50 LSE teams in the 2019 Virgin Pulse Global Fitness Challenge the HO/LSEE team came first averaging a phenomenal 26,543 steps per day!
