Q: What is your favourite thing about the Hellenic Observatory?

The interdisciplinary and opportunity to work with others doing research on Greece, and the collegial environment in the department.

Q: What do you like most about your work?

Being able to do research on matters of high societal importance.

Q: What is your favourite place on campus?

The campus has been fundamentally transformed in recent years and the HO moved to a new building over a year ago. Still, I have fond memories of our old office space, and especially the cosy Cañada Blanch Room, where the research seminars were held. The New Academic Building roof terrace is another favourite, providing great views of the London skyline.

Q: What are you currently reading?

I tried to use the summer break to read some fiction, appreciating W.G. Sebald’s work even more, while catching up with the housing financialisation literature.

Q: What activities have you taken up since COVID-19 and the restrictions?

Following the lockdowns and social distancing measures, I’ve started playing football again on a regular basis.
