LSE has maintained its position as one of the leading universities in the world, according the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

Commenting on the School’s success, Minouche Shafik, Director of LSE, said: “These rankings demonstrate once again the high regard in which LSE is held around the world. Being recognised for our internationalism and world-leading research is a source of great pride – we are rooted in London but we will always have a truly global outlook.”

The 2020 rankings scored the School particularly highly for its international outlook, research, and number of citations, three of the five measures on which the rankings are based. Overall, LSE was ranked 27th out of the almost 1,400 institutions included worldwide, and fifth out of the 28 institutions ranked from the UK.
