LSE’s focus on excellence in education and student experience has been recognised by its students in the 2024 National Student Survey (NSS).

The NSS is an independent survey that gathers final year undergraduate students' opinions on the quality of their course and their experience during their studies. This year just under 346,000 students across the UK provided their feedback.

LSE’s achievements in this year’s NSS include its top ranking across all Russell Group universities nationally for Organisation and Management. In London, the School has been ranked first amongst London Russell Group institutions in the categories of Teaching on my Course, Assessment and Feedback, and Academic Support.

Student satisfaction levels have increased markedly across every single NSS measure, and LSE has demonstrated a rise from 17th to 4th place across all Russell Group universities in the category of Student Voice.

Commenting on the results, Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Education, Professor Emma McCoy, said: “This year’s excellent NSS results recognise the hard work of our staff and their dedication to enhancing the student experience. To have increased our scores across all categories is an outstanding achievement and, for the first time, we are the highest-ranking London Russell Group institution in most aspects of student experience. We are committed to working across the School to build on this success.”
