Katherine’s research investigates how firms can maximize shareholder value through diversity and inclusion practices. Specifically, her research is focused on behavioural science interventions that CFOs can implement that will optimize employee hiring, promotion and compensation practices.

Katherine holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she studied behavioural science and economics, and a B.S. in Finance with a concentration in German from Virginia Tech University.

Prior to pursuing her PhD at the London School of Economics, Katherine worked as the CFO of a luxury hotel and restaurant company. In that role, Katherine developed and managed complex organisational changes. These organisational changes increased revenue and lowered expenses year over year, culminating in the successful sale of the company’s holdings.  Katherine has also worked as a consultant, advising clients across the globe on over $5 Billion US based commercial real estate projects.
