Empowered Girls, Empowered Futures

This photo exhibition celebrates the achievements of young female scientists, musicians, artists and athletes from every corner of Anatolia, Türkiye.

Curated and sponsored by the Aydın Doğan Foundation, photographed by Mustafa Seven and interviewed by Melis Alphan, the exhibition tells the stories of girls aged between 13 and 22, who have accomplished extraordinary successes despite their underprivileged backgrounds.

Contemporary Turkish Studies focuses on the politics and economy of Türkiye and its relations with the rest of Europe. The research group aims to promote a deeper understanding of contemporary Türkiye through interdisciplinary and critical research, teaching and related public activities.

Aydın Doğan Foundation has been working with the mission of first and foremost ensuring the equal access of girls to education and opportunities, to contribute to Turkey's development in education, culture and arts, sports, and other areas for a positive impact, and to be seen as a pioneering contributor.
