Amen is a PhD Economics candidate in the Department of Economics. She has a Bachelors in Economics from Yale University. Before starting the PhD, she worked at the World Bank as a research analyst at the Development Impact Evaluation group (DIME).
Amen has ongoing work on gender inequality in low income countries, including on female labor force participation, and cash transfer programs for women. She also works on studying the impacts of and adaptation to climate change in low income countries.
