About me

Charlie is a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics. He is interested in empirical macroeconomics and history. He is currently working on projects related to to consumption habits, hysteresis and the determination of interest rates. He also uses microdata to learn about macro phenomena.

Prior to joining LSE, Charlie studied for a BA in History and Economics at Oxford, an MSc in Economics at UCL, and worked for several years in statistics and monetary policy at the Bank of England.
