Ellen is an MRes Economics student in the Department of Economics. She holds a Master of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of International Economics from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Prior to starting the MRes/PhD program, Ellen worked as a Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow at UBC doing research in economic history and development. Her main research interests are in the fields of political economy, historical development, and empirical industrial organization.
