Directly after completing my exams at LSE in July 2015, I received a job offer from the European Central Bank for a trainee position in the Directorate General Micro-prudential Supervision 2 of the newly born Single Supervisory Mechanism created at the end of 2014. I was in fact among the first trainees joining the SSM. Having attended a course at the European Institute enhanced my knowledge of the work of the different European institutions, as well as the main hurdles threatening the European Integration. After seven months working in this position in Frankfurt I then began work as a Supervision Analyst, working on the supervision of various banks across Europe and often travelling as far as from the Netherlands to Cyprus.

In 2017 I then left ECB and Frankfurst to join Banca d’Italia in Rome, after successfully passing a public selection. Here I worked as an Onsite Inspector in the Banking Supervision Department: in three years I took part in many onsite missions on different types of financial intermediaries and in different European countries. Since February 2021 I have started a Secondment at the European Banking Authority in the Supervisory Review, Recovery and Resolution Unit – working as a National Seconded Policy Expert in Paris.

Today I still remember the good times I spent at the School. Sharing this experience with fellow students from all over the world gave me the opportunity to grow not only from a cultural perspective, but also from a personal one. I am still in touch with many of my former classmates, with whom we organize retreats from time to time. Studying at the School is therefore a lifelong experience.  Working and living in a multicultural environment was extremely important for starting my career in European Institutions.
