Kalypso will present the themes of her upcoming book on Brexit entitled “Exodus, Reckoning, Sacrifice: Three Meanings of Brexit” which will be published in April 2019 and is crowdfunded, at unbound.com. Themes will include: non-listening, exceptionalism, bargaining pedagogy, liminal fates in the EU, lost in transition, the meaning of promise, endism, the price of hubris, principles and schisms, self-reflexive sacrifice, the importance of being former, the compatibility model, Brexit as precedent, Brexit as the ultimate proof.

Kalypso Nicolaidis is professor of International Relations at the University of Oxford. Her research interest revolve around theaters of mutual recognition, demoicratic theory, sustainainable integration, myth and politics, post-colonial Europe.
