Dr Miriam Sorace earned her PhD in Political Science (comparative politics, EU politics and political behaviour) in April 2017 from Trinity College, Dublin. She specialises in European and comparative politics and has expertise in representation, political behaviour, quantitative research methods and the quantitative analysis of political texts.
She is currently investigating the responsiveness of European Union politicians to European citizens. Her research has implications for EU institutional reform and for the role of voter information in representative democracies.
Her research interests include political representation, democratic deficits, voting behaviour, public opinion research, legislative behaviour and European Union politics.
