About me

Prof Henrik Bech Seeberg is the recipient of the Gordon Smith and Vincent Wright Memorial Prize for the best article in West European Politics (2020) and the Peter John Prize for the best article in the Journal of Public Policy (2023). His book, Explaining Local Policy Agendas (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022), received the Danish Local Government Award in 2023.

He is a 'Sapere Aude' research leader for the YOUTHPOL project, funded by the Danish Research Council with a grant of 6.5 million DKr, and an AUFF NOVA Grant holder supported by 2 million DKr. Prof Seeberg organizes the "Aarhus Party Politics Speaker Series," offering a platform for early-career and international researchers to present their work and receive academic feedback.

His research focuses on the causes and consequences of party competition and political agenda-setting in advanced democracies. His work has been published in leading journals such as Journal of Politics, British Journal of Political Science, European Journal of Political Research, West European Politics, and JPART.

Prof Seeberg is dedicated to teaching and discusses how political parties in Western democracies address pressing challenges such as climate change, terrorism, unemployment, and crime with his students.

He is committed to disseminating his research to a broader audience through lectures for high school students, appearances on radio programs, and contributions to Danish newspapers.
