Haile Zola is a second-year PhD student at the European Institute. Her research focuses on the relationship between European welfare states and minority groups. In particular, she is looking into how welfare states accommodate religious minorities. Her interests include the political economy of European welfare states, social/economic inequality, and comparative methods.
Haile holds a MSc in Comparative Politics from London School of Economics, as well as a BA in Government from Reichman University. Before starting her PhD, she was working as a teaching assistant in Israel.
