Valerie Walkerdine FRSA, FLSW, FAcSS is Distinguished Research Professor Emerita in the School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University and is the recipient of a Leverhulme Emeritus Fellowship revisiting and archiving data on two groups British girls and women from the 1970s to the present, exploring their lives in the context of the huge social, economic and political changes from post World War 2 until the present.
