LSE offers a range of executive master's degrees for mid-career to senior level professionals, which cover a wide variety of subject areas and disciplines in global health. The programmes benefit from the School's exceptional links with the outside world, both within the academic community and with organisations and policy practitioners.

Each degree also has its own dedicated team of professional support staff to manage the programme. This dedicated team will support you throughout the degree and ensure that you get the most from your LSE experience. The information on this page summarises all the Executive Master's programmes LSE offers with relation to global health. Programmes are organised within the host Department. 

 

Current programmes offered in 2021/2022 academic year:

Department of Behavioural Science 

Executive MSc Behavioural Science

This unique and dynamic programme provides the opportunity for full-time professionals working in any sector to obtain a graduate qualification in behavioural science, allowing you to pursue new and expanded opportunities within this emerging and exciting field.

The programme is taught by specialists at the forefront of research in behavioural science, in a multidisciplinary environment with links to specialist research groups based in departments across LSE. It is taught in a modular format, with courses taking place at LSE during three two-week sessions. In betwen teaching sessions you will be required to complete various assessments. You will also complete a dissertation on a topic of your choice. 

Due to the current COVID-19 situation the Department has temporarily moved the start date of this programme in 2020/21 to January 2021. Teaching blocks will take place in January, April and July 2021, with dissertation submission in April 2022. Graduation will take place in July 2022.

Department of Health Policy

Executive MSc Health Economics, Policy and Management

This programme offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary toolkit to elevate your career in the health sector. The two-year taught modular degree integrates rigorous health economics training with insights into the policy process, the design and analysis of health services research, and discusses current health management problems. The degree programme brings together leading UK, US, and European academics and policy experts to train change-makers and leaders in the health care sector. 


 

LSE-UChicago Double Executive MSc in Health Policy

This transatlantic double executive programme is designed and delivered in partnership with the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. Drawing on LSE’s strengths in health economics and management, and UChicago's thought leadership, the degree programme invites ambitious professionals to learn how to shape the global healthcare landscape through comprehensive training in health policy, economics, and management.

Executive MSc International Strategy and Diplomacy

Examine the changing landscape of international relations, with a focus on the emergence of new strategic actors, economic trends, security challenges, and global flashpoints. In sharply-focused seminars, you will challenge conventional wisdom on these topics. Workshops and simulations on crisis management, policy assessment and diplomatic negotiations will provide you with the practical skills to operate in a fast-moving world. You will learn how to deal with emerging threats and risks by operating strategically, and how to solve problems by negotiating with stakeholders as well as adversaries.
