About me

I received my PhD in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I specialized in comparative politics and research methods. My research concentrates on the political economy of formal and informal labour markets in the developing world with a regional focus on Latin America.

My dissertation and current book project examines how organizational dynamics in the informal sector affect the implementation process of social policies aimed at low-income citizens and, by doing so, the redistributive policy preferences of informal workers.
