Professor Ashish Jha
Visiting Professor

Ashish Jha is currently a Professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Public Health. He is also the Dean for Global Strategy at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and the Director of the Harvard Global Health Institute. He is a member of the British Medical Journal International Advisory Board, and a member of The National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine’s Board on Global Health.

Joseph Kim is currently the Head of Data Science at IQVIA Ltd, where he founded and now leads a multidisciplinary team of experts in health data science, as well as delivering real-world studies that require large health data. Through his current role, he also founded the London Data Science Internship Programmes.

Professor Mandeep Mehra
Visiting Professor

Mandeep Mehra is the William Harvey Distinguished Chair in Advanced Cardiovascular Medicine and serves as both the medical director of the Heart & Vascular Centre and executive director of the Centre for Advanced Heart Disease at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Professor Mehra is also a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, and the editor-in-chief of The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation, the top-ranked journal in its field, as well as the past president of both the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation and Heart Failure Society of America.

Professor Sir Mike Richards
Visiting Professor

Professor Sir Michael Richards is a British oncologist. From 1999 to 2013 he was the National Cancer Director in the UK Government's Department of Health. He was appointed the Chief Inspector of Hospitals in the Care Quality Commission on 31 May 2013. He received his CBE in 2001 and his knighthood in 2010. In 2014 he received a Cancer Research UK Lifetime Achievement Award.

Professor Lise Rochaix has been a full professor in the Economics Department of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne since September 2014, and holds the Paris School of Economics Chair in Health Economics, Hospinnomics endowed by the Hospitals of Paris (AP-HP).

Dr Victoria Serra-Sastre
Visiting Fellow

Dr Victoria Serra-Sastre is Senior Lecturer at City, University of London. Her main research interests are health economics and applied microeconometrics, and her research focuses on technology diffusion of health care technologies, in particular looking at the impact of technology on health outcomes, hospital performance and changes in workforce composition. At LSE, she researches the uptake and diffusion of medical technologies, the substitution/complementarity across technologies as well as other research projects in the area of hospital competition and workforce.

Dr Matthew Skellern
Visiting Fellow

Dr Skellern runs a wide-ranging LSE Health research programme on NHS reforms, economic incentives and provider performance. Led by Professor Alistair McGuire, this research programme analyses the impact of NHS reforms on the economic incentives facing NHS providers, examining the consequent impacts on provider productivity, efficiency, and quality. As Programme Manager, Dr Skellern also manages the LSE Secure Health Data Server, which is used to securely store and analyse patient-level NHS data received by LSE.

Dr Harpreet Sood
Visiting Senior Research Fellow

Dr Harpreet Sood is currently NHS England’s Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer and a practicing NHS doctor. Previously he was Senior Fellow to the CEO of NHS England. Harpreet trained as a clinical doctor at King’s College London and Imperial College Business School and practiced as a doctor in East London.
