International Politics Journal Awards the Inaugural Christopher Coker Prize

International Politics publishes innovative scholarship on international relations with a focus on the struggle between states for power in international society.

The new Christopher Coker Prize is awarded annually by International Politics for the best strategic studies paper published in the preceding volume of the journal.  The prize comes with a 500 GBP award to support the winner’s ongoing research. All papers addressing strategic issues submitted by the regular process will automatically be considered for the award.

The winner for 2023 is: Dr Jeffrey Michaels, the current Eisenhower Fellow at the NATO Defense College in Rome, for his paper: “A Very Different Kind of Challenge? NATO’s Prioritization of China in Historical Perspective” published in volume 59.
