Danny Quah appointed dean of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

Professor Danny Quah has been appointed dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKY School) at the National University of Singapore.

Professor Quah is a member of the LSE IDEAS Advisory Board and former head of the LSE IDEAS Southeast Asia programme, which became the LSE Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre.

He joined the National University of Singapore in 2015.

The entire LSE IDEAS team congratulates Professor Quah on his promotion. IDEAS Director Professor Michael Cox said:

"It was always fun when Danny was around the LSE.

I can't recall how many times we went into intellectual combat to discuss whether or not the world was about to experience an "Asian Century" - and how many times Danny thought he had won that particular debate and how many times I thought I had! I miss those discussions.

But brilliant to see my old sparring partner doing so well down in Singapore"
