Hugo is Programme and Research Associate at LSE IDEAS. He works on LSE IDEAS Short Programmes and China Foresight.

He holds an MSc in International Relations from LSE and a BA in International History and Politics from the University of Leeds.

His research interests include nationalism in modern China and international politics in the Asia-Pacific region. He has authored commentary for the Diplomat, Euronews and the China-Africa Project.
