Sophie Legros’ research interests include issues linking gender norms, women’s economic empowerment, gender inequalities, and development outcomes.
Sophie holds a BA from Harvard University and an MSc from the London School of Economics. Prior to starting her PhD, Sophie has worked with NGOs, INGOs and government agencies in twenty countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Asia, including Uganda, Tanzania, Cameroon, India, Nepal, and Colombia as well as with Girls Not Brides and has been a consultant for projects related to social norms, sexual and reproductive health and rights and child marriage.
