Thank You Awards 2024 (2)

The Department of Management welcomed back alumni volunteers and employer partners to its annual 'Volunteer Thank You Awards', to celebrate and acknowledge their generous support over the 2023-24 academic year.

The awards ceremony celebrated alumni and employer contributions to the student and wider Department of Management community.

Over the last academic year, 200 alumni volunteers have delivered 47 events to the department, resulting in over 600 recorded hours of volunteering dedicated to the betterment of our student community. This included over 50 business projects and 20 employer events connecting with over 300 students in the department.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers from our department community

Alumni Volunteer of the Year Award winner Louis Escudero said: "Thank you for providing the opportunity to give back to LSE and its students. It is a never-ending source of learning and inspiration for me."

Two of the awards were nominated and presented by students. Iñigo Brenninkmeijer, an MSc Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship student, said that the ‘Student Impact Employer Award’ winner, The Cheeky Panda, were “Very supportive of our process. We received very positive feedback on our work as well, which was a great encouragement.”

This year, we introduced some new awards, including the ‘Student Engagement Award’, for students who approached our events with curiosity, commitment, and willingness to learn.

GMiM student Qinzi Zhao won this award and said: “Thank you to the Department of Management for organising all the different alumni and employer events throughout my two years at LSE. They have definitely helped me better understand my career goals and different career opportunities! Thank you for the award!”
