Dr Emma Soane, Associate Professor of Management, has recently been made a Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), the most prestigious title for UK-based psychologists.
Speaking about her appointment, Dr Soane said “I am thrilled to have been made a fellow of the BPS.
“My research has considered various subjects, such as how to lead effectively, create engaging environments, and make organisations safer, and I am delighted that the impact of my work has been recognised by the Society.”
Fellows are entitled to use the title FBPsS, the highest designation the society can bestow. It highlights significant contribution to and understanding of the discipline.
In order to be made a Fellow of the BPS, applicants must have engaged in work of a psychological nature for at least 10 years, possess an advanced knowledge of psychology in at least one of its fields, and made an outstanding contribution to the advancement or dissemination of psychological knowledge or practice through either research, teaching, publications or public service, or by organising and developing the work of others.
