About me

Yingjia Hu is a visiting research student of the Information Systems and Innovation Faculty Group, in the Department of Management at LSE and a Ph.D. candidate in Public Administration at South China University of Technology.

She employs experimental methods on social activity to address questions regarding the role of digital media in political propaganda and how the preferences and behaviours of citizens are shaped as a result. She approaches this interest through the lens of local governments in developing countries.

Yingjia holds an MSc in Sociology from the University of York. She participated in the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Manchester for consular protection in the UK and took part in research projects on government behaviour and performance in China.
