About me

Dr Anushri Gupta is a Research Officer in the Information Systems and Innovation Faculty Research Group, Department of Management (LSE), undertaking research on the organisational, managerial and social implications of digital interfaces as part of the EPSRC-funded project Interface Reasoning for Interacting Systems (IRIS)

Her research interests include studying how advances in technology and data can be harnessed to create effective and collaborative forms of governance and new forms of organising. This entails applying an interdisciplinary approach to research innovation and managerial issues in areas such as digital government, smart cities, and data ecosystems.

Anushri holds a PhD from Queen Mary University London (QMUL), where her thesis analysed how capabilities are developed and orchestrated over time within city data ecosystems. She previously obtained an MSc in Engineering with Management from King’s College London, with a dissertation on the techno-economic analysis of smart city use cases.

Her work has been published and presented at major refereed academic journals and conferences. She has written for the European Commission and participated in a discussion with the EU commissioner for cohesion policy, as well as serving as an area editor for the Data & Policy journal and its associated conference Data for Policy on a specialised track on: 'Focus on the Policy Frameworks, Governance and Management of Data-driven Innovations'. Anushri also serves as a Digital Twins or Sustainable Development Goals (DT4SDG) lab member at QMUL.
