Dr Weizi Huang is an Assistant Professor of media and communication at Macau University of Science and Technology. She holds PhD and MPhil degrees in Cultural Studies from Lingnan University (Hong Kong) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Bachelor’s degree from School of Journalism at Renmin University of China. Her primary research focus lies in media and knowledge production. Ever since she became a mother, she has been obsessed in rethinking motherhood from a cultural studies perspective. She is working on a research project titled “The Uses of Media Literacy and Maternal Practice in Contemporary China”.
During her time at LSE, Dr Weizi Huang is working with Professor Bingchun Meng.
