About me

Dr Yael Gordon researches the refugee voice and representations on various media outlets: film, television and social media. Her recent project addressed the female Ukrainian refugee voice through TikTok and how it is used to construct her gender identity. Her current research investigates the Ukrainian refugees’ use of Facebook and how through this platform they connect to their British hosts and find a temporary home.

During her time at LSE, Dr Gordon is working with Professor Myria Georgiou
