Mario was a Research Assistant on the LSE Middle East Centre research project, 'Explaining the Middle Eastern Health Inequality Paradox'.
He is a PhD student at the LSE’s Department of Health Policy, working on the Economics of nutrition, with a particular focus on overweight and obesity in low and middle income countries. Mario holds a B.Sc. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Bolzano in Italy and a M.Sc. in Development Economics from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in Spain and Lund University in Sweden. Before joining LSE, Mario worked as a Research Associate at the UNDP’s International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth in Brasilia, Brazil. He has also worked for the NGO Innovations for Poverty Action in Peru and the German Embassy in Buenos Aires.
