Dr Ching Leong is an Associate Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She is also the Vice Provost of Student Life in the University Administration Team at NUS. Dr. Ching holds graduate degrees in philosophy, information technology, and journalism. Before joining the university, she had a career in television and newspaper journalism.

Her research centres on water institutions and environmental behaviour including collective action problems. Her work on institutional change dynamics has explored the public behavior such as hostility to water privatisation, drinking recycled water and more recently, willingness to accept vaccines and honesty in public behaviours.
