From January 2024, work will be undertaken on the reception area in High Holborn. This is essential work to allow for a more modern reception facility.
Additionally, starting February 2024, work will be undertaken to replace a generator within High Holborn Residence. These are essential works to increase the resilience of services in the hall. This work will involve a temporary installation of a platform outside one area of the building. For a brief period of around 1 hour on a set date which will be communicated to residents, there will be a planned brief outage to the power.
Noisy works will be kept to a minimum; However, these are unavoidable on selected dates. All residents impacted by these works will be given full and advance notice. Most works are expected to be completed by Saturday 30 March 2024 and the full programme is due to complete by Tuesday 16 April 2024.
From late June 2024 until early September 2024, work will be undertaken to refurbish block B at Lilian Knowles House. The Lilian Knowles House team will work to minimise the impact on residents in other blocks, however, some disruption is expected due to the nature of the project. Construction workers will be visible in the hall during this time. This page will be updated with more details about these works in due course.
